Once again this year, Taste of Europe will be taking part in the US tour of Gambero Rosso’s Tre Bicchieri, which, for over 30 years, has been promoting and spreading the word about Italy’s finest culinary products around the world, directing companies towards the most significant markets for the export of Italian-made products. Of the many international projects that Gambero Rosso regularly organises and manages to this end, Tre Bicchieri is undoubtedly one of the most prestigious and best-known examples.
During the three legs of the tour, wine will be taking centre stage; nonetheless, all five of Taste of Europe’s Consortia will be given space to show off their products: not just the Consortium of Lambrusco di Modena, the Consortium for the Wines of Romagna and the Consortium for the Wines of Reggio Emilia, but also the Consortium of Prosciutto di Modena and the Consortium of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena.
The scheduled activities fall into two main categories: seminars and tastings. The seminars, dedicated to sector experts and media visitors, will be informative and will be led by the editors of Gambero Rosso’s Guide to the Wines of Italy, who will illustrate the characteristics of the food and wine products represented by the various Consortia.
The tastings, meanwhile, will take place in specially set up areas, so-called “Emilia-Romagna corners”. These areas will be where 15 companies have the opportunity to display and provide samples of their products to a carefully selected audience of trade representatives, journalists and simple enthusiasts.
